High Voltage: June 19th

Hola LA! Our newest night is just around the corner. Mark your calendars to come out to MotionLA on June 19th. It's all ages and only five bucks to get in. You won't want to miss this fantastic night of music. Plus Bliss Tea is sponsoring the night which means tons of free tea! What could be better?!

SXSW Bound!

The musical portion (and in our opinion, the best) of the festival kicks off in just a few days! Knock back all those vitamins and sneak in your sleep now!! It's going to be a wiillld week! And even though we won't be throwing our very own bash this year (we're still recovering from last year's!), that isn't stopping us from still having a good time at SXSW! We've teamed up with some good people and are part of a little bit of LA in Tejas this year!

We hope you can make it out! It'll be a blast.

Upcoming HV Night : 1/21

Friends! Just a few weeks away, mark it down in your calendars!! High Voltage is throwing another bash at Safari Sam's (5214 W. Sunset Blvd) in Hollywood on January 21!!! Kicking off the night will be Whiskey Circus, followed by a night of rock with the Blessings, Crystal Antlers, and Sky Parade.

Doors are at 8pm, just 5 bucks to get in, and it's all ages so bring your little brother Stuey and Grandma Bea!

And as always there will be food, drinks, music, and good times shared. What more could you honestly need? Come one, come all. We look forward to seeing you!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support us and the fabulous bands we had playing last night at Safari Sam's. The bands were great, the crowd was excellent, the vibe was good, and we were loving every minute of it.

What: High Voltage Night. There'll be some good ol' rock 'n' roll, drinks, food, laughter, good times, and good people.
Where: Safari Sam's (5214 W Sunset Blvd, Hollywood, CA)
When: Last Drag kicks everything off at 8pm... so anytime around that would be good.
Why: Why the hell not?

Doors are at 7pm, it's free from 7pm-9pm (no excuses now). Food/beer is half off during those two hours too, so bottom's up! It's then $5 after 9pm, but you can help your wallet a bit by RSVPing (rsvp@highvoltagemagazine.com) and get in for just $2.

High Voltage Magazine issue #1 is currently available, limited copies!! Get yours now. Featured inside are reviews of Morningwood, Hard-Fi, Elefant, and many more CDs. Check out OK Go's self-interview (very very funny stuff), and get to know The Shys who could be the next big thing (mark our words!). We're all really excited about this, being our first issue. We've gotten a lot of positive feedback and are eager to work on issue 2 -- things can only get better. So pick up your copy before we run out.
